Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!

As I reflect upon my time serving as Vicar at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Linden, NJ, I am reminded of our humble beginnings in Montclair. When I was appointed Vicar in 2009, our parish stood at a crossroads, discerning the next steps for our future. Through prayerful consideration, we embarked on the journey of relocating to a new church home, guided by the vision of continuing the sacred work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In His Sermon on the Mount, our Lord instructs us in three fundamental aspects of Christian life: fasting, prayer, and charitable works. At St. Mary’s, we have strived to fulfill these commandments to the best of our ability, fostering a community rooted in faith, love, and service. Our church is built upon the foundation of discipleship—nurturing the faithful so that we may all grow in Christ and be found worthy of the Kingdom to come.

Looking back on my years at St. Mary’s, I cherish the many moments of fellowship we have shared—our parish picnics, family gatherings, and communal celebrations of faith. These experiences reflect the unity and love that define our parish family.

It is my joy and honor to welcome you to our parish website. I invite you to join us in worship—whether for evening prayers on Saturdays /  the Divine Liturgy on Sunday mornings. May our Lord bless and guide you always.
